I want to talk today about why your prosperity serves the world. And so I want to do a prosperity meditation and the meditation is going to be on my prosperity serves the world. I’m Anna Gatmon, and wherever you’re watching this, this is coming to you from The Expansive with Anna Gatmon YouTube channel.
So let’s talk about prosperity and spiritual material abundance. Let’s take a few examples where prosperity allows us to have both spiritual abundance and material abundance. Money allows you to nourish yourself, so money gives you nourishment, which is food. Money gives you safety, which is home. Money gives you comfort, one of which is clothes. Money gives you opportunities to practice appreciation. Because when you purchase somebody else’s product, you’re appreciating their creation.
They put time and hard work and creativity and their own resources in order to create a product or a service that you are purchasing for your needs. And so there’s a moment there where you can practice appreciation for somebody else’s creation. Now you might choose to buy locally instead of from big chains, but appreciating somebody’s creation, that’s an opportunity that you have when you buy somebody else’s product or service.
Now think about it. If you’re not going to buy somebody else’s products and services, you are not going to allow them to fulfill their life calling and their life purpose. Likewise, you, if no one’s going to buy your product, your services, what you do in the world, you’re not going to have the opportunity to express your life purpose, your calling, what you’ve come to do here on the planet. Money gives you resources to express your own gifts and talents and your creativity and your ingenuity in a big way. You need resources for that, so you need money for it. So you need to be prosperous for that. So you get to serve the world either through your own self-expression or by appreciating, purchasing, donating to other people’s causes, to other people’s services, to other people’s products.
So prosperity is true spiritual material-abundance because you use the money you have either to serve the world in a bigger way, yourself or to appreciate other people’s expression in the world in a big way, by consuming it, by using it, by sharing it with other people. So the prosperity meditation that I’m offering for you to do is very simple.
The guideline is, my prosperity serves the world.
Take 10, 15 minutes, have a pen and paper next to you. You can close your eyes. Tell yourself “My prosperity, serves the world because…” and come up with 10 things why you being prosperous serves the world in a big way and creates more spiritual-material abundance for you and for everyone you interact with, the people you work with, your family, your community, your farmer’s market, wherever you shop, wherever you buy, wherever you create, whoever you interact with. Have fun with this exercise.
