How to make incremental changes that lead to a transformation in your life
I was diagnosed with a medical condition, which forced me to improve my eating habits. So, I went on 27-day juicing and blending food plan that led me to lose more than eight pounds (and still losing more each week). I talk about the daily, incremental changes that can lead to a transformation in your life. I also lay out the spiritual resources that can help you achieve the goals you set for yourself, whether it’s weight loss or anything else you would like to transform and better in your life.Want to listen instead?

Hello everybody, it’s Wednesday and another Expanding on Expansive weekly tips and teachings. And today I’m going to focus on transformation and I’m going to share how I lost eight pounds and how you too can make incremental changes that lead to a transformation and how you can feel renewed and youthful again as a result of it.
So this week all the posts that I’ve posted so far, and that I am about to post until Sunday, focus on the word transformation and the different aspects of transformation. And so, my question for you is, as you listen to it, to ask yourself, what are you open to let go of and transform in your life in this time?
That is a post that came on on Monday or Tuesday, Tuesday. And so what do you want to transform? So transformation is something big when you transform when the form that you have changes when the vibrational state that you’re in is shifting and is sustainably, it has shifted sustainably. It’s when the field of consciousness that you’re in is not the same as the field of consciousness that you are usually in, or you were in before.
So it’s something that is a big shift. And many times, you need the practice of small incremental changes over time to suddenly realize that change, change, change, change, boom, transformation, something has transformed, radically transformed. And so I want to share with you that I lost eight, eight and a half pounds in the past four weeks, and I want to share, about this transformation that I’ve gone through and give you a few of the things that have helped me to go through this transformation and why I feel it’s a transformation and not just a change.
It required incremental changes every day in order to go through this transformation that I’m in the process, it’s, I’m in the process, the big shift I’ve done, and now the sustaining of it, the integrating of it, and continuing and it’s work. It’s work because it’s not easy to change a habit. They say it takes 21 days to change a habit. And I did a juice blend soup fast for 27 days. So I went over the 21 days and still it’s hard to change a habit, but there are some resources for it and I want to share them with you.
So what happened was that I was not digesting food very well over the holidays. And before that in the fall, and I’m usually very healthy and I don’t get sick often when I get sick, I feel bad for a day or two, and then it’s over. And so it was not normal for me to have symptoms that were staying for one, two, three months. And so I went to a series of tests and it took them a while and I persisted and they said, we don’t see anything. Anyway, they found something with my liver and the, when I got the diagnosis, it was like, there were two directions that they shared. This is a reversible with lifestyle, no medication, just lifestyle changes. Okay. That’s where I can do something about it. They also told me what happens if you don’t take care of it and it continues what risks can happen later. And they go to cirrhosis of the liver and cancer and different things. You know, which the medical establishment, they tell you the worst-case scenario to cover their backs or their asses.
But it enough for me too, it was good that it was there. Cause it was like, you know, I don’t want to stop eating bread with butter and cheese. I like it. My heritage jeans are from Sweden. We love butter and cream. And so I don’t want to give that up and I don’t have to give that up. But at the moment, you know, when I was reading it, it’s like, but no, I mean, you could still get cancer and be healthy. But if I can stop myself, this condition worsening itself, it was like, no way I’m taking care of this. And if it’s only lifestyle and no medications, all the responsibility is on me. And I felt like it was a silver lining for me to lose weight, to lose belly weight is what I need to lose. That’s been sitting there for been growing slowly for the past eight years since I moved the last time I moved to the US, eight and a half years ago. You know, I wrote my book in those eight and a half years. I built my business and in the process of doing that and so a lot on the computer, even when I talk to a client, it’s through zoom. So I’m on my butt a lot. And I’m not a huge fan of exercising, going to the gym and exercising. And so I was not moving my muscles like they want to be used and I just gained that weight.
And so it felt like, okay, spring is in the air. It’s winter still here, but spring is around the corner. And the silver lining is I’ve been given a chance to, you know, I’m forced to let this go. So, and just, you know, let’s say I lay and just allow this to continue or to do a radical shift. And so I went for the radical shift and I decided to do a 28-day self-care practice. If I worked less, that’s fine. I was going to read books that were going to help me with self-care. I was going to rest more. I was going to juice.
So I picked a British guy that I’d been following for over a decade that I love. His name is Jason Vale. He is the juice master. I have all his apps. And so I’ve juiced before blend before I’ve souped with him before. And so I went for 27 days and because it’s still winter here, I had to do soups in the evenings and I blended or juiced during the day. And I wanted some variety. So I really created the plan that works for me because what I wanted was not to follow his plan, but to use his resources, to succeed in losing the weight that I wanted to lose.
Now, the doctors had told me losing weight is one thing. And the second thing is cardiovascular movement, really to get the heart rate going. I remember that when I was a kid, I was the last one on the playground. It’s like, everybody was already tired. And I said, well let’s just do one more catch game or something or ball game. I loved it. I probably had undiagnosed ADHD and I needed to move all the time. So I wanted to reconnect to that part. While today I don’t feel like exercising and going to the gym. I wanted to reconnect to that spark in me, where I had joy for constant movement. And so that was part of my self-care practice for these 27 days. And so here are a few things that I did that are helpful when you want to go through incremental daily change. That leads to transformation.
Now, first of all, you need a motivation. If you’re not motivated, you can’t do anything. And so I got a kick in the butt when I said, look, when I was told, look, it’s a lifestyle change here, or it can get worse. I was like, okay, that’s a motivator for me. I have so many tools in my toolbox, spiritual tools, emotional tools, physical tools, mental tools. I’m not gonna just let this slide. I’m going to take care of this and use all the resources that I have. So I had the motivation. That’s the first thing that you need.
Now you want to use spiritual resources for that as well because you want to imagine what you want to be when you’re transformed. You want to start creating the field of consciousness and the energy around it so that you live into that place and you are that place. And then everything kind of falls into place to become that. It’s kind of how manifesting occurs that I’ve spoken about, you know, in the past weeks, right? It’s like you want to create the conditions for an idea to come into being in the material-physical realm. So you want to create the vibrational conditions for it, your state of mind, your attitude, and whatever other external conditions that you need to create for that. Right? So motivation is number one.
The second thing is surrendering. You want to surrender, you want to say, I’m not going to try and do this on my own. I’m going to use all the resources I have. And I’m going to ask the universe to support me. So to use the apps of Jason Vale is to use an expert in juicing and blending and to use his apps and his knowledge, his acquired system, to support me in the best way I can. That is surrendering and asking for help and receiving it in the most convenient way through an app or two apps on my phone, right? And his inspiration and his energy’s got such great energy. And when I’d watch his videos, I’d watch them just to stay inspired on my juice fast or food plan. So surrendering, okay. You also want to surrender to possibilities that you can think of miracles that I spoke about last week, you know, allowing the universe to participate and to give you different gifts and pieces of wisdom and insights so that you don’t do this by yourself. So surrendering is really important. And surrendering takes me to the reading. One more reading here from Eileen caddy’s opening doors within the link is in the bio.
“When you are willing to surrender your all to me and hold nothing back then your every need will be wonderfully met and your life will flow with abundance. For you open the flood gates when you surrender all to me.” So that is a spiritual law. “Absorb this law into your whole being until it becomes part of you and you vibrate with that rhythm of all life, and know the meaning of wholeness, of being in tune with a whole of creation, and therefore in tune with me, I am the creator of all creation. I am the wholeness of all life, raise your consciousness and realize that I am within you, that this wholeness is here within you. And that nothing can separate you from the wonder of it, except your own limited consciousness. Why not let go and let it expand, allow nothing to stop that expansion of consciousness until you can accept that I am in you, and you are in me, and we are one.”
Wow, a lot here, a lot to unpack, but I want to focus specifically on surrendering. I wanted to lose weight. I wanted to regain my youthfulness. I wanted to regain my vitality. I wanted to use my muscles and you know what, muscles are made to be used. And so I had to find a way I had to find again, a program online for $29.99 for women, older women, kind of, you know, above 50 who want to lose weight and stay in shape in an easier, more relaxed way. Surrendering, surrendering to the possibility that I can lose weight. Now, you know, when you do a juice fast, it’s not just a physical juice fast, it’s a mental one. It’s a spiritual one. It’s an, it’s an emotional one. You’re cleansing and detoxing your liver. But the liver is detoxing from emotions as well from thought patterns from anger, from whatever you’re holding inside you. It is detoxing from that as well. So it’s not just a physical thing. And many people just do that. There’s the whole spiritual, emotional, mental part that is also being released as the toxins are being released.
And so there’s a specific weight number that I couldn’t go beyond after I had gone above it. And I just held the belief that I cannot go, I’ve tried different ways and I can not go below it. And you know what? It’s so reminded me of my life. It reminded me of other things in my life, around my work, things where I feel like I can’t do this. I can’t go beyond this. This can’t happen. So I had this limiting thought that happens at times while I’m very courageous and brave, and I do things, you know, big leaps in faith into the abyss. But I have this belief also in certain things I don’t believe I can, I can go beyond and nothing stops it. I just can’t.
And so I stayed at that weight point in the 27 days for quite a while. And I said, here it is again, I cannot lose the weight. I cannot go beyond that, damn. And it took 21 days and it just went down a bit, but it stopped there for quite a while. And then when I realized how this is a belief that I hold and everything, it was like, okay, I’m going to let go of this belief. And just trust that if I continue, I made some shifts in my food plan, and boom, I went underneath it. And so you see it’s incremental changes, shifts in our thoughts, in our belief systems, in our habits, taking advice from others, making a shift in your plan, in your habits, in your plan for change and transformation. But being very attuned, listening carefully to my body, to my mind, to my wit, to inner wisdom, to any miracles or signs from the universe, directing me this way or that way, I was very attentive. I was focused on self-care and I was attentive to what was showing up in my field of awareness that would help me with this.
So all of these are really important things. So motivations, surendering, forgiveness is another one, surrendering your not forgiving. So the truth has to be told there was a part in me that was not forgiving myself for having, let myself go and my weight go like this, slowly over eight and a half years. And okay, I pay the price. I, you know, my mission in life to teach people how to live in spiritual-material abundance, and to the book, the TEDx talk programs, working with people one-on-one all of that. It’s my life mission. And so if the price is that I’m really tight because I don’t exercise or because I gain weight because I sit a lot, it was a price that I was willing to pay.
But there was another part of me that was not forgiving me for doing it. And so then there was a part, well, it’s too late now, if I’m already here and I haven’t done it, then I’m not going to change now. That is like being spiteful to myself, not forgiving myself for what I’ve done. And the truth is, that if you decide now to change, change will happen now. And if you do change incrementally over a period, suddenly you’ll be in a state of transformation. You’ll be in a new field of consciousness. New state of vibration, a new form. Trans-form. And so it’s important to look at where we don’t forgive ourselves, where we punish ourselves because we realize that, wow, I’ve let this habit take the best of me. Well, I’m not going to change now. You know what, that’s it, that’s the price you pay. You, you took this action. That’s the price you pay.
You know, the culture is critical, gender, race. There’s a lot of criticism around there, here in the world. So I have it inside me. And so forgiveness is part of transformation. And I spoke about it two videos ago. So motivation, surrender, forgiveness, self-care, using spiritual resources. So surrender is a spiritual resource. Motivation is a spiritual resource. Forgiveness is a spiritual resource.
To imagine where I want to be, to remember how I, the vitality I had as a child, and to feel that playfulness that I had, you know, in my grandfather’s garden, in Sweden for hours, you know, in Sweden, there’s light in the summer until 11, hours and hours and hours staying out. I, you know, sweating, but this coolness would come on me and I would just enjoy the coolness on my skin, and just running and singing and playing that vitality, skipping. That was something that is not something that is part of my past. Okay. I was a child now I mature woman. I should accept that. Yes, but that vitality is in me, and I want to access that vitality, that youthfulness again. And so to tap into spiritual resources and say, I want to tap into youthfulness. I recall a youthfulness in me that I know when I am tapped into it, I am more whole, I am more embodied in who Anna really is. And that energy, it rubs off on people around me when I’m full of ideas.
And I say, you’ve got to do this. You’ve got to try this. This is really great. Then, I get people all excited and people want to participate in what I am offering or what I’m telling them, you know, my latest adventure. And so I want to have access to this more because it’s part of who I am. It’s not something that was just part of my childhood. So you likewise have things that maybe you are saying they were part of my childhood, or before I got married or before I had this job or before my financial situation became worse. So before my health became worse or before I got depressed or whatever it is, you still have access to it. And those are the spiritual resources that you need in order to make incremental change. To have this vision in front of your eyes, where you want to go. And with incremental change, boom transformation happens and your in a new vibrational state, in a new field, energetic field of consciousness.
So I think I’ve covered the different things that I used. And I want to tell you, and I don’t know if I said it before or not, but one of the things that I tell my spouse in the evening after I do my, you know, on a day when I’ve done my cardiovascular workout, which is by the way, it’s two minutes warm-up, seven minutes of just general, one minute of abs, and then two minutes of cooling off, or slow flow, or like flowing back into like a relaxing state. So what’s that seven, eight, it’s like 10 minutes. Overall, it takes about between 10 and 12 minutes. And I’m at the beginner stage, so I’m doing it three times a week. And then every other day I go for a walk. So it’s really not a lot, but I tell my spouse, you know, my muscles are happy. I can hear in my ears, internally, my muscles telling me, thank you for using us for what we are meant to be used. Thank you for allowing us to bring you vitality. Because when we are used, you feel vital, you feel energy, you feel energized. And so I really feel that I’m even listening to my muscles who are saying, thank you. And then they’re happy to have a relaxing day in between when I go for my walk.
So for example, yesterday, I had a walk, the day before, I had a workout, by the evening, I could feel the workout. So it was good to have a day off. I did work out this morning. Tomorrow, I’ll have a break. I’ll just go for a walk with the dog to the corner and back. Fabulous. So even my muscles are going, thank you for using us. Thank you for allowing us to participate in your transformation and thank you for allowing us to serve the purpose for which we were created, what we are meant to do, what the essence of our calling is.
So you see this as part of the wholeness in the reading that I read before. The muscles are part of it, the apps that I’m using are part of it. Listening to any guidance, paying attention to beliefs that are stopping me here, as well as in other places in my life, letting go of those in order to cleanse my thoughts, my beliefs, the weight, it’s a weight loss of thoughts, as well as a weight loss of kilos off my body.
So I leave you with that. I hope this is a lot to take in, but they’re really good nuggets here for how to do incremental change that’s going to lead to a transformation in your life. So I leave you with that, blessings of choosing what you want to transform in your life. What is important for you to change in your life?
And I will be back next week with another Expanding on Expansive weekly tips and teachings. Blessings, bye.
