Why it’s Important and How to Find It!
Sometimes, I think we confuse “being in flow” with being super flexible and adaptable. But that can get us into trouble. Why? Because we are flowing to some other rhythm and not our own. And then, when it doesn’t work, we try even harder and find ourselves depleted, wondering why we can’t get into an optimal flow state.Well, flow is all about allowing the force that creates and sustains worlds to move through our being and every aspect of our life. So how can we do that in a way that is not overwhelming or depleting, and instead is empowering and rejuvenating? First, we need to understand why it is essential to be in a flow state, and then I’ll give you a few tips on how to get into your own flow state.

Hello everybody Anna Gatmon here and another week of Expanding on Expansive weekly tips and teachings. Today I want to focus on flow and how to find your flow, why it’s important to find your flow and how to find it.
So all my posts this week focused on flow. When I began on Monday with “Flow, allow the force that creates worlds to move through your being and every aspect of your life.” So allow the force that creates and sustains the world, the universe, the sun, our planet, humanity, your life, allow that to flow through you. Now, why is that important? Well, it’s important because that force is the vital energy of life. And when you allow it to flow through you in full force in its optimal state, you are in your optimal state. You see if you’re outside of it and I’m looking at it and you’re touching it, then you’re seeing the rear flow, but you’re not in it. You’re not in your optimal state. If you are resisting, if you are afraid, the flow that same flow is coming through a very narrow tube and cannot flow fully.
So it’s really important to allow this force that’s created you, the uniqueness of who you are to flow freely through you in it’s optimal state. Which brings me to the second point that you need to be in your optimal state for it to flow. You see flow is not about being super flexible, going with the flow, whatever pulls you in this direction or that direction.
You just go for it. It’s okay to be flexible. Some people are more flexible than others physically or mentally or emotionally. Some people have an easier time changing their plans and some have to stay strictly to their plan, These are different character traits and we are to respect, in a sense each one, and their style, and their way, in what their comfort zone is. But the flow of the universe is in a sense a different thing.
So flow is not about being flexible, super flexible, but it’s finding your center, your optimal state, what makes you come alive? What you’re passionate about, finding what was intended for you in this incarnation, in this lifetime that you’re in to be in your optimal state and allowing that to flow through you see. So it’s your unique flow coming through, versus let me see what it means to be flexible and flowing and let me do it.
It’s another thing. If you feel you’re too strict or that you want to learn to be more flowing, it’s not this or that, but the flow of the universe needs to flow through you in the unique way that you were created, your unique talents, your unique gifts, your unique abilities, your expertise, what you love, what, how you want to express yourself, how you serve the world through your capabilities and your life purpose. And so you want to find your center at every given moment. Your center within the wholeness of a situation, the wholeness of your life, the wholeness of a relationship, not just what works for you, but what works for you within the larger whole of any given moment, or situation, or interaction you want to be in your optimal state.
So you want to know what is the essence of my calling? What is the spiritual essence that was like, okay, this is you’re going to be born. And this is the essence of who you’re going to be. And you’re going to express that essence in your work, but also in your hobbies, and recreational time, and in your relationships, and in your self-care, and in your finances, and in your health, and in everything that you do. That’s when you know what the essence of your calling is. That’s when you are in your optimal state and when you express it, everything is flowing through you. And that force that creates and sustains worlds is flowing through you.
And you’re part of that river because you are expressing who you are meant to be. So an Oak tree is not trying to be a pine tree and going well, pine trees are more this way or that way, or, you know, this tree has fruit and flowers. I’d like some of that, no, it’s like it’s flowing with who it is meant to be in its optimal state.
And then you are directly connected to the energy, to the vitality of the universe. And you feel confidence. You feel assured of your place in the world. You feel you’re living by your values. You feel passionate about what you are and sharing it with the world in whatever form your work shows up, whatever job you do, or activities that you do, now you’re in flow.
And so to be in your center, in relationship to the whole of any given situation, that is flow. Being in your optimal state, knowing the essence of your calling, and expressing it throughout your day in everything that you do. Now you’re allowing this flow to come in its optimal state through you, versus through some tiny narrow tube where it can barely come through and you don’t understand why it’s so hard. And then you want to do something that betters the world. Something that serves a higher good for all. Something that you’re passionate about and makes you come alive and you want to go do it because that’s that’s when you be in flow. And so how can you sense flow? And I posted that today.”
“When we expand our consciousness, we become aware of a flow of energy rushing through us.” When you do what you always do, you don’t really feel many differences because it becomes habitual. You sense yourself in a habitual way. You’re not even thinking about it, but when you expand your consciousness, when you become more spacious if it’s through a great meditation center where you and meditation practice,
where you feel a big sense of quiet quietness and inner peace, or you’re out in nature, and it is so expansive and suddenly you feel you’re a part of nature, or when you’re expressing yourself and you’re in the right place, doing the right thing, saying the right thing at the right time and you feel, Oh my God, I am in flow. When you are in this expansive state, you’re going to feel a difference from how you are usually. So you’re going to feel that flow rushing through your being. Sometimes you’ll feel tingling in your fingers or energy in your hands, or you’ll feel your heart expanding and opening. Or you might sometimes, you know, I feel lightheaded because I’m so expansive that I need to ground myself.
And then you can ground yourself with your feet, the earth, nature around you, where you are, what you’re sitting on, the floor, you will feel the rush of this force that creates and sustain worlds flowing through you when you expand your consciousness. And when you expand your consciousness, you will be more attuned to how to be centered in any given situation, because you’ll have a larger field of view, intuitive and rational, what to do, how to be, how to do. So your intuition will be much more right on, on spot, or spot on. You will be able to experience more compassion. You’ll be able to both be centered and aware. You’ll have enough spaciousness and generosity to be here for yourself and for somebody else, it’s not going to be one or the other, right? So all of these and so many more things will come to you when you are in a state of your unique flow within the larger world, the larger situation, the wholeness that you are in.
Then you’re part of the river and you don’t feel forsaken. You don’t feel alone. You don’t feel like you’re outside. Like you’re looking outside, but you can’t come in. You’re allowing your unique energy, constellation, incarnation to come and to be in its full potential. You’re allowing the flow of intelligence, of knowledge, of intuition, of insight, of experiences, of lessons to flow through you and you will feel the rush of this force as it flows through your system. You’ll feel it, you’re part of the river of life.
So with this excitement of flow rushing through you and you being the river, allowing the flow to come through you and being part of this wondrous fullness that we live in. I leave you with blessings of flow. I’ll see you next week again, with another expanding on expansive weekly tips and teachings.
Blessings.
