Hello, everybody. It is Wednesday and time for another Expanding on Expansive weekly tips and teachings.
The focus today is on what to do when things aren’t going your way and how to reframe patience as a present. So how can you reframe patience to become a present for you? When you’re manifesting you’re trying to change something we’ve been talking about from the beginning of the year. We’ve been talking about how to manifest and the different components that you need in order to manifest. Last week I spoke about how to have courage and how to have bravery. And now I want to talk about patience.
Now I’m not an expert on patience. I am learning the hard way to have patience. So I’m here learning this as I am sharing it with you. I looked up the origin of the word patience. Patience means “the capacity to accept or tolerate delay, trouble, or suffering without getting angry or upset.” I looked for the origin, it comes from the English, but even further back from the Latin “to suffer.” So patience originally means to tolerate suffering. So no wonder that I don’t have patience and you might not have any either because we don’t want to suffer. That’s the origin of the word. So here I am, attempting to reframe patients as something that is a process that becomes a present for you instead of suffering. I posted on Monday “Patience, trust in yourself and in the universe to bring forth that, which you desire at the right time and in the right way.”
So a way to reframe patience from, what I want is not happening yet, is to bring trust into the process. So trusting the process, trusting yourself, trusting in the universe that it’s going to come through for you, that you’re not forsaken and abandoned. And that’s not easy to do always because once you’ve seen something, you have imagined something, you have a goal that you’ve set, whatever area in your life, you’re talking about. Finances, self-care, relationships, whatever it is once you’ve seen the promised land, you know what the possibilities are I know I just want it to happen like that. I don’t want to now wait for years for it to occur or months, or weeks or hours, I’ve already seen the promised land. Why can’t it just happen? And yet I speak so much, and so often about the law of attraction when you don’t manifest immediately, it’s not that you’re doing something wrong or that the law of attraction is incorrect or doesn’t work well. It’s that certain things are all prepared and ready to manifest. And that’s why you can experience instant manifestation. Other things like humanity, civilization, our planet, a tree growing for hundreds of years, those take patience, they take time.
And so you need to create the conditions for them to manifest. And that’s where patience comes in. And we can learn from trees to have patience. You know, we cut trees off as if we can just grow them back again. But ancient trees take hundreds, thousands of years to grow. And they emanate the quality of patience, and beauty, and wisdom, and grandeur, and inner peace. And when we cut them down, we lose access just a bit more or a bit less. We have less access to these qualities because they’re not present anymore in the tree that was emanating for us, patience, and grandeur, and peace. And so we need to keep the trees and not cut the trees because they offer us these qualities that are so important to balance our human psyche our human emotions, our human emotions. So, okay. So one thing is to trust. Okay. That’s a refrain from suffering is to trust the process, trust yourself, trust the universe.
The other thing to bring in is just this expansive perspective. And I say today in the post “Patience and ease are what allow us to listen attentively to intuitive guidance.” So the second key to spiritual-material balance, which I talk about in my book, right? Is that when you listen attentively, so it’s not about, okay, I’m patient I’m patient, but I’m really not, but just relaxing into ease and patience. You gain awareness of a larger field of information. And suddenly you see connections, you see miracles, you perceive miracles, you see synchronistic events, you get intuitive guidance. So paying attention attentively to miracles, intuitive guidance, inner wisdom, as you’re manifesting, as you’re trying to achieve something or change someone or something allows you to be informed with how to better your manifestation, your creation, the thing you are making, the thing you are trying to change in yourself or in the world in your life.
And so here we have three things we have love and derivatives of love, like care, attention to beauty, attention to details. We have trust letting go trusting yourself, trusting the process, trusting the universe. And we have this whole expansiveness of listening attentively, of miracles, of inner wisdom, of synchronistic events that make us so excited like butterflies in our stomach. When we see a miracle, we see a connection, Oh my God. If I had gotten what I wanted before this moment, this miracle wouldn’t show up and to see a miracle in real time happening and to be present for it is such a magical joy that you wouldn’t want to miss that, you wouldn’t want to miss that in order to just already have what you have, because when you already have it, okay, then you’re going to want another goal. So that’s why so many spiritual traditions speak about enjoy the journey. The destination is just a reason for the journey, right? And so I hope this helps you to reframe patience from something that just makes you impatient and you can’t wait.
It’s just too much. And you feel that you’ve been abandoned. You lose your trust. It will never happen to me. All of that see patience as a present and imbue, whatever you’re trying to transform and change with trust, with love, and with an expansive awareness, attentive awareness to miracles, wisdom, synchronistic events. That is what has worked for me and what I work with in order to develop my patience daily and weekly in different areas of my life.
So I leave you with many blessings of patience, of seeing patience as a present, and I’ll be back next week with another Expanding on Expansive weekly tips and teachings.
Blessings.
