As children, most of us met the world with a persistent sense of wonder. There was a freshness to the outside world, a sort of sparkle on everything, and there was an inner joy and natural enthusiasm, which caused us to hum, whistle, sing a song for no reason whatsoever – no reason, that is, except for our natural vitality.
What happened as we grew older and became responsible adults?
How did the adventures of life become reduced to chores and duties?
Here is one thing you can do to rekindle your natural vitality:
Choose to focus on a quality you wish to experience during your day. It can be anything such as experiencing a sense of peace, the feeling of joy, or a sense of enthusiasm. Ask for the Universe to reveal this quality to you throughout your day. You can set your phone to remind you to stop and pay attention to this quality every hour.
Each time you focus on this quality, ask yourself, Am I experiencing this quality at this moment? Can I perceive this quality in what I’m doing or the person I’m with?
Pay attention to how it makes you feel. You’ll discover that it will have a direct impact on your interactions with people, and on your overall state of mind. It will help you access your natural vitality and remind you of the sense of wonder you experienced in your childhood.
I’d love to hear which quality you chose to focus on and what it was like. So share a comment below and I’ll respond.
Here to help you live your highest calling,
